Inside the Long Island Automotive Museum
Tom commented: "Does anyone actually have any interior shots of the L.I. Auto museum? I have never had the chance to visit when it was open and I have not ever seen any interior shots. Perhaps no inside photos were allowed. But would be interesting to see if some interior shots exist." Tom, Walter McCarthy has forwarded these additional interior photos of the museum:

Austin Clark, his wife and daughter with Montague Roberts, one of the winning drivers of the 1908 New York to Paris Race. The 1907 Thomas Flyer was purchased by Austin Clark for $3,000 in 1948 and sold to William Harrah in the early 1960s. The car is currently exhibited at the National Automobile Museum in Reno Nevada. Although Roberts never participated in a Vanderbilt Cup Race, he drove Thomas cars in both the 1905 American Elimination Trial and 1906 American Elimination Trial.

Wow, thats great to finally see a few photos of the interior. Thank you very much. Of course if there are more, would be great to see them as well.
Was there an “annex” to Museum? I recall visiting my father in the summer of 1976 when he lived near Riverhead, LI. I had time to kill one day and ended up visiting Mr. Clark’s museum, but I don’t recall the large quonset buildings, but a smaller collection of sheds located out in a quiet wooded area. Is my memory faulty?
