Video: The Alco Black Beast racing on the beach at 2021 TROG (The Race of Gentlemen)

This six-minute video documents three runs of the Alco Black Beast beach racing at the 2021 TROG (The Race of Gentlemen) in Wildwood, New Jersey.

Video highlights:

0.06 seconds: The first run on the beach with Rob Ida acting as the mechanician.

1:12 minute: The second run racing a Ford modified racer. Howard Kroplick comment: "I am concerned about the water."

3:23 minutes: The final run of the day as the high tide made the course very small and wet.

3:58 minutes: The Black Beast waits until several motorcycles complete their runs. The high tide traps the Beast but leaves it undamaged. It returns to the Start Line under its own power.

4:58 minutes: The Black Beast calls it a day with salutes from the spectators.

Mister you’re a better man than I! I would have been crying like a baby as that water surrounded the Beast. You just did a swimming motion and carried on!!!! We really wish we were there. So proud to be supporting you and the Beast and all you do to bring the heritage of America on Wheels to the exciting forefront. Look forward to congratulating you in person sometime soon!

This must of been exhilarating! What a sinking feeling it must’ve been when the tide came in. Great video!

Brian, luckily we were able to free the Beast within five minutes. After washing it down, we were up and running with no damage.
