Highlights from the amazing Dash Drags New Hyde Park
The first legal drag race on Long Island in over 30 years was held last Sunday in New Hyde Park. The Alco Black Beast team had a blast.
Kudos to the Town of North Hempstead, Cow Neck Peninsula Historical Society and organizer Jon Ruvio for a wonderful event enjoyed by over 25 vintage dragsters including the Alco Black Beast. It was one of the best first-time automotive events that I have ever participated in!

The absolute opposite of what the Alco was built for! But some great racing regardless! A little longer of a run and the Alco surely would’ve caught some of the cars it ran against!
