Well deserved award for a great classic and to real gentleman!

Mar 23 2015 Ted 1:21 AM

The picture with GT Joey Limongelli. What car is behind you? It almost looks like yours, but I know it’ not,the license plate is different and so is the back window. It can’t be another 37 Chysler can it?same body style, maybe a Dodge or Plymout. If you see John, tell him he looks great, fits right in with the car, perfect. CONGRATS . Surprised to see Dr.Simeone.

Congratulations Howard & Roz for winning again! I’ll assume the Chrysler will be at the Greenwich Concours in May and I expect that Best of Show is certainly a possibility.

Mar 23 2015 Phil 11:28 AM

More than the awards which are great, I really appreciate the commitment to bringing these cars back to being a piece of art.
Thank you!

Congratulations - Good Show.  After all that work we are glad you are being recognized for it.  The car is a beauty.

Another Congrats for another win Howard!

While going through the results/award titles for Amelia Island show website, I was surprised to see they had the 1933 Dymaxion car #1 replica present. Hence, the connection to this week’s mystery photo! Another interesting Vanderbilt Cup link would be “The Camille Jenatzy Award”...

I also suspect if you were able to bring the ALCO as well you might have had a second award for the ‘Indianapolis Motor Speedway/Tony Hulman Award - FOR THE MOST HISTORICALLY SIGNIFICANT INDIANAPOLIS RACE CAR’.

Mar 23 2015 JeRita 9:40 PM

Well done Howard I can’t wait to see it this summer Thank you for preserving and sharing all your treasures

Mar 26 2015 Walt Gosden 9:43 AM

Ted, the car in the back round behind Howard and Joey is a 1934 Packard V12 custom coupe body by Packard built to a LeBaron design. One of these coupes was sold new to a fellow , George Davidoff, who lived in Roslyn Estates (not the car in the photo) and that car is now in Bob Bahre’s collection in Maine. Approximately 3 of these custom cars remain.

Mar 27 2015 Ted 5:44 PM

Thanks Walt. I kinda though it was a LeBaron design, that’s why I said Dodge or Plymouth, didn’t know they do other cars too
