great video thank you.
When I went to the funeral home I spoke to Bryan Johnson “what is the future of the museum?” he indicated, unsure? Well I think that it should to be a new goverment/private museum built at a new nicer location, maybe a family member as a curator of the collection?
Brian Johnson I enjoyed the Video of your Grandfather. He was a great guy dedicated to the history of the community and dedicated to the history of Stock Car racing!!
Thanks for the great tribute to your grandfather, Bryan. I only visited him once back in 2014 but always remember what treasures he possessed and the stories he told. Must have been a great time spending time together. I found my pics of my visit and of Marty giving me my entrance tickets! Now if I can only find those tickets!
I’ve posted that first wonderful photo of Marty before, but not the second photo that I took at the same time of that event. Marty with his ‘groupies’ who helped him bring some of his collection from Bay Shore to this event in Jamesport, Riverhead. I understand he did this for some years at The Long Island Antque Power Association weekend event in July.
Hey Art, I still have my Freeport Speedway ticket.
