Kleiner’s Korner: Construction Plans for the Hollis Court Boulevard (Queens Road) Motor Parkway Bridge
Detailed construction requirements and plans were drawn up in 1925 for the building of the steel and concrete Hollis Court Boulevard (Hollis Hills Terrace & Queens Road) Motor Parkway Bridge. The requirements detailed the responsibilities of the contractor, exact measurements and construction material.

Mineola has often been mentioned in vanderbiltcupraces.com as significant to the development of the Motor Parkway and the Vanderbilt Cup Races. In this 1908 publication published by D. C. McKay & Son, both are used to promote the village of Mineola.

Kleiner’s Korner: The Land of the Motor Parkway Mineola Lodge (Kiosk)
The Motor Parkway and the Mineola Lodge, originally a ticket kiosk between 1910 and 1921, were on land originally owned by the Walkers-Peters and Luhrs families. Surveys here are from 1907 and are from the Motor Parkway Maps and Surveys collection and indicate the area purchased by the Motor Parkway.
