Exhibit: Images of East Hills (1873-2016), East Hills, NY
In celebration of the 85th Anniversary of East Hills, historian Howard Kroplick will present a special exhibit in the East Hills Village Hall on Saturday, September 3, 2016. The exhibit will feature rare photos, maps and aerials of the East Hills area.
Howard Kroplick has been the town historian of North Hempstead since 2012. Among his projects were the restorations of the Mackay Estate Horse Statue and the Townsend Cemetery in East Hills. He is a trustee of the Roslyn Landmark Society and the Society for the Preservation of Long Island Antiquities (SPLIA) and a member of the board of directors of the Sid Jacobson JCC located in East Hills. Howard and Roz Kroplick have enjoyed living in East Hills for 32 years.
