    VanderbiltCupRaces.com Exclusive: Starting Lineup for the 1936 Vanderbilt Cup Race

    In 1936 the Vanderbilt Cup Races returned to Long Island at the new Roosevelt Raceway built in Westbury. The 300-mile race consisted of 75 laps over the 4-mile road course. A total of 45 race cars competed on October 12, 1936. For the first time, images of 34 of the starters for the 1936 George Vanderbilt Cup Race are presented on the Internet.
