    The Vanderbilt Cup Race Brassards

    During every Vanderbilt Cup Race, all officials wore silk brassards (armbands) to allow them on the course. This latest acquistion to my Vanderbilia collection was a brassard worn by two officials.

    Vanderbilia: The 1910 Cole Plaque

    I have an embossed shield with a pressed design on it that says "Massapequa Sweepstakes in Vanderbilt Cup Race Trophy 1910" with the embossing of what appears to be a trophy with a race car and driver on top and below the trophy it says "Won by Cole 30" 126.4… (6 comments)

    An eBay auction set a record for a Vanderbilt Cup Race ribbon. A press ribbon for the 1906 Vanderbilt Cup Race was sold for $3,051.

    I have a photo signed by William K. Vanderbilt, Jr. taken, I believe, at Daytona Beach, Florida. The caption reads "Official world's record made by W.K.V.Jr. in this Mercedes car.
