Town of Oyster Bay All Car Friendship Meet October 7
Oyster Bay Town Councilman Joseph D. Muscarella invites residents to attend the Town’s 33rd Annual All Car Friendship Meet, scheduled for Sunday, October 7, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The event will be held rain or shine.
“Since their invention, cars have had a unique ability to bond people together,” Councilman Muscarella said. “Enthusiasts appreciate the aesthetic beauty of automobiles, as well as their distinct history.” Councilman Muscarella noted that reminiscing about the family’s automobiles or dad’s favorite sports car, is an unmistakable component of Americana. “When attending events like the Town’s All Car Friendship Meet, conversations invariably center upon vacations spent driving in the family vehicle or the muscle car they drove as a senior in high school,” Councilman Muscarella said. “The Town is proud to host events like this because they unite participants on common ground and create last friendships.”
The Town of Oyster Bay Department of Parks, Division of Recreation, is hosting this event, which is being co-sponsored by Sun Auto Group, at Marjorie R. Post Community Park, Merrick and Unqua Roads, Massapequa. It is a great event for car owners and car admirers, with free admission, breakfast provided by Sun Auto Group and lunch provided by the Town.
Councilman Muscarella noted that this is a non-trophy meet. All vehicles must have valid registration and plates and must be driven by the owner. The event features vintage automobiles dating back to 1927 and is supported by All Car Club in Oyster Bay.
“The Town’s All Car Friendship Meet is always a great family day at Marjorie R Post Community Park,” Councilman Muscarella said. “I invite all car owners and car enthusiasts to come to the park. For more information on the meet, call the Recreation Division at 797-4125 prompt 2.”
