Queens Historical Society Presentation, Sunday March 22, 2009
Authors Al Velocci & Howard Kroplick will present an illustrated lecture on their recent publication "The Long Island Motor Parkway"from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM. Velocci & Kroplick will celebrate the parkway's recent 100th birthday, while commenting on its design, inspiration, and the terrain which runs through Queens, Nassau and Suffolk Counties, and its impact on these places. This lecture will conclude with a Q&A session. Books will be able to be signed by the authors on site.
