Doo Wop Car Show for Stroke Awareness & Prevention, Smithtown NY


In conjunction with Judy’s Run for Awareness, Suffolk County Legislator John M. Kennedy Jr. (12th LD – Nesconset) is coordinating a “Doo Wop Car Show” on Saturday, August 4th from 10am to 4pm at the Smithtown Historical Society Property (239 East Main Street, Smithtown, NY 11787) to promote Stroke Awareness and Prevention. The show will feature Doo Wop Music, Live Bands, Classic Cars, Vendor Crafts, Hot Dogs, Burgers, Hot and Cold Beverages, Ice Cream, free blood pressure screenings, and more. Attendees will be asked to make a $5 donation per car, where 100% of the money collected goes towards Stroke Awareness and Prevention. Stroke is a devastating and disease that often strikes very suddenly. Stroke is the leading cause of adult disability and the third-leading cause of death in the United States. About 6.4 million Americans are living with stroke, and strokes are very common, affecting 4 out of 5 American families. The estimated cost of stroke this year in U.S is $73 billion. Please help us by supporting this event, which raises stroke awareness and is a guaranteed fun time for all. Together we can all help bring Stroke Awareness out of the shadows.
