Construction Work Has Begun on the Garden City Stewart Field Parking Lot Adjacent to the Motor Parkway
Cyril Smith of Garden City reports that work has begun on the Stewart Field parking lot off Raymond Court. As seen above, the Motor Parkway's southern 3-foot concrete extensions have been uncovered and remain intact.

Update: Garden City Board of Trustees Met and Agreed Not to Destroy the Long Island Motor Parkway Pavement & Concrete
The Garden City Board of Trustees held a public meeting on Thursday, May 7, 2020 at 8:00 p.m. via Zoom. The primary topic was the funding of public parking on the Motor Parkway right-of way behind Stewart Field. Rikki Massand has written an article on the meeting in The Garden City News.

Al Velocci reports that the Village of Garden City has begun work around the Long Island Motor Parkway right-of-way west of Raymond Court. They uncovered original concrete and the three-foot concrete extensions.
