The Motor Parkway Toll Collection Structure #2 Hillside Ave Lodge & #3 Rocky Hill Rd Lodge in Queens
Going west to east, the second and third Motor Parkway toll collection structures were the Hillside Avenue Lodge (1921-1928) the Rocky Hill Road Lodge (1928- 1938) located 600-feet east of present-day Springfield Boulevard in Queens.

The Motor Parkway Toll Collection Structures: #1 Nassau Boulevard Lodge In Fresh Meadows, Queens
This is the first of a new series documenting the toll collection structures of the Long Island Motor Parkway. Going west to east, the first planned toll lodge was the Nassau Boulevard Lodge at the Western Terminus located at Nassau Boulevard (later renamed Horace Harding Boulevard) in Fresh Meadows.

Then & Now: William K. Vanderbilt Jr’s Deepdale Gate Lodge in Lake Success
In 1906, William K. Vanderbilt Jr. commissioned architect John Russell Pope to design a gate lodge for his Deepdale Estate located in Lake Success, New York. Fortunately, the gate lodge is still standing and provides the opportunity for this "Then & Now".
