1958-1967 tours of the Long Island Motor Parkway #3: New Hyde Park & Searingtown
From 1958 to 1967, an unidentified couple documented their tour of the Motor Parkway with over 70 photos taken from the Western Terminus in Queens to the Eastern Terminus (Lake Ronkonkoma). In the third of this series, these five photos feature our favorite parkway in New Hyde Park & Searingtown.

Malverne Treasure #2: A Proposed Footbridge and Subway in Albertson/Williston Park
Another gem from the Malverne Treasure Chest discovered by Roy Knoernschild documented plans for a crossing over or under the Motor Parkway due to the construction of the Park Avenue School in Williston Park.

Motor Parkway Pavement Rediscovered in Albertson/Williston Park -Updated June 27, 2017
At the April 30th Historic Motor Parkway Memories Antique Car Show in Williston Park, a resident of Sigsbee Avenue informed me that Motor Parkway remnants still exist behind his home. Dave Russo, of Sam & Dave, fame went exploring and forwarded his photos.

Treasure Chest of Surveys and Maps Draws Large Crowd to the Parkway Preservation Society Meeting
Almost 100 people came out to view the recently discovered surveys and maps and a wonderful presentation of "Hidden History of Long Island" by author Richard Panchyk at the April 20th meeting of the Long Island Motor Parkway Preservation Society.
