    Yes, another unsolved Motor Parkway mystery has surfaced! This road marker can be found near the 13th green of the North Hills Country Club in North Hills, located north of the service road of the Long Island Expressway.

    Historic Landmarks Preservation Commission Recommends Landmarking of a Motor Parkway Bridge

    I am pleased to report that the Historic Landmarks Preservation Commission of the Town of North Hempstead voted unamiously 5-0 on Wednesday night to recommend to the Town Board that they consider designating the Old Courthouse Road Motor Parkway Bridge as a Town of North Hempstead landmark. The application was supported by 15 town residents and members of the Long Island Motor Parkway Preservation Society through in-person presentations and emails.

    Then & Now: Potential Nassau Historical Markers on the Motor Parkway Trail

    Nassau County is currently developing a master plan for a continuous multi-use Motor Parkway Trail. Part of the plan calls for the placement of markers "at the location of historical remnants and will serve as a way to educate the public on the history of the corridor as the original Long Island Motor Parkway..".
