Howard Kroplick Honored with the 2017 George Barris Cup at the Nassau County Cruise to the Show
Each year one special individual award is designated by the Nassau County Cruise to the Show team. "In honor of the late, great Mr. George Barris,the Barris Cup is dedicated not to a specific car, but rather to an influential individual who emulates the amazing characteristics of Mr. Barris himself." The 2017 George Barris Cup was awarded to to me.

Smiles and Thumbs Ups From the 2012 Nassau County Cruise to the Show Parade and Car Show
The 2012 Nassau County Cruise to the Show Parade and Car Show held on September 30th was spectacular with other 1,000 participating cars and a seven-mile parade from Bethpage to East Meadow with the Black Beast in the lead.

Newsday reported on the 3rd Annual Nassau County Cruise To The Show Parade, Car Show, & Music Fest to be held on Sunday. The Alco Black Beast will have the honor of being one of the cars leading the parade down Hempstead Turnpike beginning at Bethpage at 9:00 am..

Film “The Black Beast’s Four-Mile Cruise to the Show”
This seven-minute film documents the four- mile ride of the Alco "Black Beast" at the Nassau County Executive's 1st Annual Cruise to the Show Parade held on August 15, 2010. The "Black Beast" was the lead car of over 500 vintage and classic cars that participated. It covered the four-mile course from Garden City to East Meadow in less than 8 minutes, an average over 30 mph in first and second gear.

The Black Beast at 2010 Nassau County Executive’s Cruise to the Show
The 2010 Nasau County Executive's 1st Annual Crusie to the Show was a big success with over 500 cars participating in a parade from Garden City to East Meadow and a car show at Eisenhower Park. The Alco "Black Beast" had the honor of being the lead car in the parade and made the entire five miles averaging 35 mph.... without a problem. Remember to click on a photo to enlarge it.
