Greg O’s Garage: Newly Discovered 1919 Blueprints of Camp Mills in Garden City
Long Island contractor Roy Knoernschild has once again generously donated more survey maps. This time, Roy discovered a 1919 Completion Atlas of Camp Mills in Garden City. The Atlas was given today to Bill Bellmer, the village historian of Garden City, for the Garden City Archives.

Update #2: In Search of the Mystery Camp Mills “New York” Road
Lee Chambers, who grew up in Mitchel Field, has been determined to document a mysterious Camp Mills road that ran east to west and disappeared when Mitchel Field was reconfigured in 1927 to 1932. Bill Bellmer's recent aerials and documents have help Lee solve the mystery.

Mystery Foto #28 has uncovered a piece of Long Island history. Garden City Village Historian Bill Bellmer notes "the aerial shows the Camp Mills Base Hospital remains, one of my local specialties. The image you posted is better than any other that I have."
