Saw the episode last night… the car seemed familiar, then realized that I have seen it at the car show at Old Westbury Gardens…. even had pics of it saved on my phone… lol Thanks for the history lesson Ray…. I live on Long Island and enjoyed learning the racing history!!!

Doug, the Black Beast had a different number for each of its 16 races. For the time trial races, it indicated the start position.

This is amazing, incredible, unbelievable and whatever else I can say about the work that has been done. It’s like a big puzzle that has to be put back together with no chance of a mistake at all. Thanks so much for the heads up on your website for this great series on cars and such. 
I watched everyone twice as it was repeated at 11:00 PM.  Seeing the Vanderbilt Cup episode
was great for us Long Islanders !!!!  Great job with Ray Evernham and his crew. 
As a second item of great interest was to see the progress of Walter Chrysler’s Chrysler in the shop now being painted and put together.  What a project and hope to see it in Roslyn very shortly. I sincerely wish great success to you on the above and hope to see you at the ALPCA meet at the Massapequa Elk’s lodge on Saturday April 12th, 2014.  Best Regards Again !!!!!!!

Great presentation and information on Americarna last night.  This looked (to me) in large part to be most of your research and what you have been presenting.  You and the ALCO presented a historical picture that I do hope will be noticed by others and put Long Island’s prior racing history in a place it should be not forgotten and hidden away.
