A Big Thumbs Up for the 7th Annual Spring Car Show Fundraiser for St. Patrick School
The St. Patrick School Car Show last Sunday was a wonderful way to start the 2012 Long Island car show season. Over 1,000 people enjoyed 275 unique and vintage cars including the Alco "Black Beast".

The 2012 Presidents Car Club Council Meeting was held last Sunday at the Riverhead Moose Lodge. The meeting was well-attended with over 150 event organizers representing more than 50 Long Island car clubs.

Film “The Greatest Vintage Automobile Event Ever Held on Long Island”
In my opinion, the greatest vintage automobile event ever held on Long Island occurred on October 9, 1954 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first Vanderbilt Cup Race. The event was organized by Long Island Old Car Club and the Mineola Fair and Industrial Exposition.

Article: “Classics Gather Where Lindbergh’s Flight Began”
Author Greg Merksamer has written an article on the Second Annual Cradle of Aviation Museum Car Show held on September 25, 2011. Over 90 classic and vintage cars participated in the Cradle of Aviation Museum Car Show hosted by the Long Island Sound Region of the Classic Car Club of America.

Exclusive Video “World’s Oldest Running Car Sold for A Record $4.62 Million”
Some of the most exciting events of Hershey Week were the RM Auctions at Hershey Lodge on October 6-7, 2011. The highlight was the sale of the 1884 De Dion Bouton Trepardoux Dos-A-Dos Steam Runabout, considered the world's oldest running car. Here are my photos of the car as it was displayed in ballroom lobby and a 6-minute video showing its sale for an amazing $4.62 million, over twice the low estimate.
