LI News Tonight Film “Vanderbilt Cup Racer at the Vanderbilt Museum”
LI News Tonight's Chris Collora reported on a recent visit of the "Black Beast" to the Suffolk County Vanderbilt Museum. This 3-minute newsclip includes: a history of the Alco-6 racer, interviews with Noel Gish, President of the Board of Trustees of the Suffolk County Vanderbilt Museum and me, and film segments from the Vanderbilt Cup Races and the 1911 Indy 500 Race.

Roslyn News “Classic Autos Still Have Plenty of Firepower”
The September 10th issue of the Roslyn News reported on the Sixth Annual Vanderbilt Cup Centennial Celebration held at the Nassau County Museum of Art on Sunday, August 30th. Reporter Joe Scotchie noted; "Large crowd turned out to view Vanderbilt Cup Racer...It was another well-attended event as the organizers look forward to more succesful celebrations in the future."

The Alco Black Beast at the First Indy 500 Race
One of the last major races that for the "Black Beast" was the Inaugural Indy 500 Race held on May 30, 1911. As published in the June 3, 1911 issue of Automobile Topics, this photo shows the #19 Alco-6 Racer taking the brick curve during the parade lap. Shown with the Alco driven by Harry Grant were; the #18 Fiat driven by Eddie Hearne, the #20 National driven by Charlie Merz and the #21 National driven by Howdy Wilcox.

Film “Black Beast at the 2009 Lime Rock Vintage Car Show”
This two-minute film documents the 1909 Alco-6 Racer at the 2009 Lime Rock "Sunday in the Park" Vintage Car Festival held over Labor Day Weekend. A total of 722 cars participated in the show. The "Black Beast" won first place in the Vintage Race Car Pre-1960 class.

This five-minute film documents the 1909 Alco-6 Racer at the 2009 Lime Rock Vintage Car Festival held over Labor Day Weekend .The "Black Beast" ran three laps on the course on Saturday.
