    Professor Pau Medrano Bigas, Professor of Graphic Design at the University of Barcelona, has forwarded two articles on William K. Vanderbilt Jr. breaking the one-kilometer land speed record twice in 1902 as reported in the Italian magazine La Stampa Sportiva. Dr. Andrea Fedi has now translated the article. (0 comments)

The races had a far-reaching impact on the development of American automobiles and parkways.
