The First Automobile Race Held on Long Island (April 14, 1900) Updated: 7/3/15
On April 14, 1900 the Automobile Club of America organized the first automobile race held on Long Island. The 50-mile race was held on Merrick Road from the Springfield Boulevard intersection in Queens to Bablyon in Suffolk County and back. (9 comments)

The Renault Vanderbilt Racer in Germany
In July 2006 the German magazine Oldtimer Makt published an article on Agatha, the Renault Vanderbilt Racer owned by Wolfgang Auge in Germany. Mr. Auge sent this article to Marvin McFalls who had it translated by his friend Michael Muller. (3 comments)

Mustang III at the Ford Custom Car Caravan (1964-1965)
At the request of the Ford Marketing Division, Dearborn Steel Tubing was given the ninth pre-production Mustang ever built. Dearborn Steel Tubing, Ford's prototype/concept show car supplier, was asked to build the two-passenger Mustang III fiberglass fastback to tour with the Ford Custom Car Caravan and be displayed at major automobile exhibits.
