Presentation Tonight in Brentwood “The Incredible Vanderbilt Cup Races”
Tonight, I will be presenting "The Incredible Vanderbilt Cup Races" at the Brentwood Public Library located at 34 Second Avenue. The presentation will begin at 7:00 PM and will include a Q&A session on the races and the Long Island Motor Parkway. All honorarium and book proceeds will be donated to Child Prevention Services (CAPS). (0 comments)

The Black Beast at 2010 Nassau County Executive’s Cruise to the Show
The 2010 Nasau County Executive's 1st Annual Crusie to the Show was a big success with over 500 cars participating in a parade from Garden City to East Meadow and a car show at Eisenhower Park. The Alco "Black Beast" had the honor of being the lead car in the parade and made the entire five miles averaging 35 mph.... without a problem. Remember to click on a photo to enlarge it. Film “Speedy” - Featuring Harold Lloyd, Babe Ruth and 1928 cars
Here is a real treat that I found on the H.A.M.B. website ...a five-minute clip of Harold Lloyd's 1928 film "Speedy". The film was Lloyd's last silent film and one of his best. Although, it is a bit off-topic, it does combine two of my passions, cars and baseball. (0 comments)

Updates: News Articles and Local Car Shows & Automotive Events
This Sunday's event: Vanderbilt Timed Demonstration Runs and Concours de Provenance has been cancelled. However, I will still be bringing the "Black Beast" and my 1966 Shelby Mustang GT-350H to the Roosevelt Field Mall parking lot (near the Stewart Avenue entrance) beginning at 9:30 AM.
