Hemmings Classic Car receives national award for the “Black Beast” article
As reported on the Hemmings Daily Blog, the American Auto Racing Writers and Broadcasters Association has recognized Hemmings Classic Car for excellence during its annual awards banquet in May 2014 at the Indianapolis 500. Long Island Motor Parkway Bridge Series #47: Powell Avenue Bridge in Central Park (Bethpage)

On Friday, October 7, 1904, the day before the first Vanderbilt Cup Race, 60 superintendents and engineers of the Association of Licensed Automobile Manufacturers (A.L.A.M.) gathered for a 65-mile "meet" covering Manhattan, Bronx and Westchester.
