The Black Beast at the Amelia Island 2012 Concours D’Elegance
It was a great time this weekend at one of the best automotive events in the world- the Amelia Island Concours D' Elegance. Over 20,000 car enthusiasts and 300 spectacular cars participated. Here are the Alco Black Beast highlights with photos taken by Roz Kroplick.

The Black Beast drew a crowd when it took its place on the field on Saturday.
A Black Beast tradition, future race drivers sat in the racer throughout Sunday's Concours.
Corky Coker and his friends stopped by to see the Alco Black Beast.

Congratulations! A well deserved award. I particularly enjoyed seeing how you got the young ones involved. Everyone in our hobby says that we need to do more of this, but you actually do it, and seem to enjoy it. Well done. Dennis Mamchur
Excellent. And I need to get down there one of these years to this Concours, always looks great
Congratulations Howard!
From Janet Guthrie:
“Congratulations on the Amelia Island IMS/Tony Hulman award! I participated in that Concours a year ago, and it certainly is top of the line. Your newsletters continue to be most interesting.”
