Highlights from The Bridge IX 2025
Highlights of the Duesenberg #2448 J-399 Model J Murphy participating The Bridge IX in Bridgehampton on Saturday 9/13/2025.
While mostly known for the likes of modern Hypercars, exotics, high-end luxury, race and muscle automobiles, there are on occasion some of the classics and antiques in attendance. Such was the case for the Duesenberg's attendance at The Bridge IX this past weekend.
At first glance, there doesn't seem to be a set of more opposite cars such as a Lamborghini or Ferrari to a Duesenberg. But one starts to realize that for 1928, a Duesenberg was the Supercar for its day with its massive horsepower and over-the-top luxury, so it is fitting to see the supercar genesis alongside today's modern super and hyper-cars.
One of the sponsors of this year's event was an aviation company called Pivotal. Pivotal has begun manufacturing 'personal, manned drones', and boy, was that fun and interesting to watch in action!
Here are some of the highlights of this year's event.

The Bridge has become one of the premier automobile events of Long Island. Hamptonites come out to see the automobiles and to be seen themselves. It's not unusual to see a few celebrities in attendance. Past events have included Christie Brinkley, John Bon Jovi, Jerry Seinfeld with this year being no different as I spotted famous rappers LL Cool J and Reverend Run of RunDMC amongst the crowd this year.
The Duesy at The Bridge
Alongside the 1930 Duesy was a 1931 Cadillac V8 dual cowl phaeton. Coincidently, this car was owned by the same previous owner as the Duesenberg and they were together in the same collection at one time.

Cars of The Bridge
Porsche, exotics, racecars, and Hypercars are the words of the day at The Bridge and this year did not disappoint.
An interesting Mercedes. While the exterior suggests a 1950's era SL, beneath the skin was a thoroughly modern Mercedes-Benz.
What's The Bridge without race cars? A beautiful Indy race car on the field.
Pivotal Ultralight
Yes, its a manned electric drone!
As one of the event sponsors, Pivotal brought out their new personal, manned electric ultralight to demonstrate its unusual flying ability.
Pivotal has a capacity to travel 25 miles on one charge. No license is currently needed to fly it.
