Tucker 1044 Honored with the “Wayne Carini Award” at the Hemmings Concours d’Elegance
A great time was had by the Tucker 1044 Team last Sunday at last Sunday's Hemmings Concours d'Elegance held in Lake George, New York. Tucker 1044 was honored with keynote speaker Wayne Carini's "Pick of the Show" Award.

Was there, nice but not worth traveling there and staying over. The Colonie section of Albany (Wolf Rd./Rt.5 Central Ave. Exit of Rt.87 Northway), within an hour from the meet, great area to stay. What was very good was the steam boat 1 hour cruise of Lake George by the waterfront nearby. What’s better is the Hershey meet. 2 years ago, excellent weather, great turnout, hope to be there again.

Wayne does seem to keep very busy. When Andrew Cuomo announced that FDR’s Packard was being ‘restored’, Cuomo was a bit off, but not knowing what was going on, I was a bit to’d that a NY restorer didn’t get the work. Except that all that was being done was to make it run - safely (after decades in a museum that it had entered with mechanical problems) - and Wayne was the one selected to get it done. Then, of course, it showed up for the opening of the new Koz… (can’t spell it) bridge - running, of course, driven by AC.
