The July 2013 issue of Planning featured an article by landscape architect Chris Tramutola on the Long Island Motor Parkway and the plans for the Motor Parkway Trail. The magazine is publised by the American Planning Association. Several images from my collection were used in the article.

The six Vanderbilt Cup Races held on Long Island from 1904 to 1910 were the greatest sporting events of their day, and the first international automobile road races held in the United States.
