Kleiner’s Korner: 1910 Vanderbilt Cup Race Illustrations
Additional illustrations portray the last Vanderbilt Cup Race held on public roads on Long Island.
From "The Automobile", except for the cover photo which is from "The San Francisco Call" and is part of Robert Edgren's series of color paintings (would be a good find to get an original of this one showing the Alco Black Beast winning the 1909 Vanderbilt Cup Race).

$60 for a parking space in 1910 equates to $1662 today. Only the wealthy could bring their cars to the race. The rest arrived by train, bicycle, or horse-and-cart. That must have been a special event to attend to at the time
