    Earlier this month I purchased a 19-minute amateur 16 mm film of the 1936 and 1937 Vanderbilt Cup Races. A big surprise was this rare one-minute color clip of airplanes taking off and landing at Roosevelt Field. (2 comments)

    The Motor Parkway and the Mineola Lodge, originally a ticket kiosk between 1910 and 1921, were on land originally owned by the Walkers-Peters and Luhrs families.
