    “Roosevelt Field and Ye Motor Parkway” Executed by Artist Eric Sloane

    A prolific member of the Hudson River School of painting, Eric Sloane (1905-1985) was an artistic genius. Among his nearly 15,000 paintings was this 1933 sketch of Roosevelt Field including "Ye Motor Parkway".

    Aerial View of the LIMP: Follow the yellow-lined path

    Check out the Wikimapia website. Someone has mapped out most of the right-of way fro the Long Island Motor Parkway. For example, just place your cursor over the Western Terminus box, and the Long Island Motor Parkway right-of way will appear as a yellow-lined path.

    Many viewers have requested maps of the Long Island Motor Parkway so they can walk this historical road and find remnants of America's first parkway.
