Then & Now: Central Park (Bethpage)

It was a great turnout last night at the Bethpage Public Library. A total of 73 people attended the presentation "The Motor Parkway, Vanderbilt Cup Races and Central Park" hosted by the library and the Central Park Historical Association. Here are five Central Park "Then & Now" slides from the presentation.

Several people in the audience confirmed that the "Motor Parkway House" was located off Powell Avenue and burnt down in the 1960s. The function of the house in 1908 is still a mystery.

Thanks for a great evening...A total of $500 was raised for Child Abuse Prevention Services.
