I highly recommend a new website Firstsuperhighway.com created by writer Mark Dill.
Among the gems on the website is this May 29, 1911 Indianapolis Sun article providing the betting odds for the first Indy 500 Race. The Alco-6 Black Beast Racer was one of the favorites at 7:1 odds.
Another example is this video of the Marmon Wasp that won the 1911 Indy 500 Race found on the home page.
