Friday, July 3, 2009: Off-Topic: Film “Krocky” (1977)
In 1977, Howard and Roz Kroplick made a 16-minute Super-8 film called "Krocky", a parody on the movie "Rocky" which won the Best Picture Academy Award in March 1977. The film is presented in two parts.
In Part I, Krocky is in training for his fight for the Heavyweight Title with Muhammad Ali. In Part II, Krocky fights Muhammad Ali for the world championship at Madison Square Garden.
Things to look for; film of Muhammad Ali with a crowd of people in Rockefeller Plaza, clips of the actual fight that inspired Sylvester Stallone to write "Rocky", and a very special surprise ending.
Part 1
Part 2
Enjoy a wonderful July 4th holiday,
Howard Kroplick
