Great Neck Historical Society Presentation on Thursday, June 11, 2009
The Great Neck Historical Society will be hosting a presentation "Great Neck and Lake Success- Their Role in the Vanderbilt Cup Races and the Long Island Motor Parkway" on Thursday, June 11, 2009 at 7:30 PM in the Community Room at the Great Neck Library (159 Bayview Avenue).

World’s Oldest Car for Sale?

Cars from the October 2008 Gymkhana
Just found some great photos of the 2008 Gymkhana celebrating the centennial of the Long Island Motor Parkway on Alex Kalogiannis' website. Check out the three Shelby Mustangs. I particularly like the white 1966 GT-250!

Old 16 at the 2008 Pebble Beach Concours
Old 16, the first American car to win the Vanderbilt Cup Race, made a rare appearance outside the Henry Ford Museum at the Pebble Beach Concours D'Elegance last October. Conceptcarz.com has done another wonderful job documenting the event through photos and a summary article.
