Presentation “The Long Island Motor Parkway, the 1908 Vanderbilt Cup Race & Central Park”-4/27/11
In celebration of Long Island Central Park's role in the first road built exclusively for the automobile and the 1908 Vanderbilt Cup Race, Howard Kroplick will present a review of the historic Long Island Motor Parkway and the incredible Vanderbilt Cup Races.
The presentation will be held at the Bethpage Public Library, 47 Powell Avenue on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 from 7:30 pm to 8:30 PM. Following the presentation, he will be signing his two books "The Long Island Motor Parkway" and "The Vanderbilt Cup Races of Long Island" with all proceeds donated to Child Abuse Prevention Services (CAPS).
Come join the Central Park Historical Society at the Bethpage Public Library for what promises to be an exciting evening for fans of Long Island automotive history.
