Presentation “The Long Island Motor Parkway: A Trip Back in Time” with Bob Miller, Lake Ronkonkoma
Prominent Queens historian Robert Miller will be presenting “The Long Island Motor Parkway: A Trip Back in Time” at the next meeting of Lake Ronkonkoma Historical Society.
The meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 beginning at 7:00 PM at the Lake Ronkonkoma Historical Society, 385 Hawkins Avenue, Lake Ronkonkoma. Everyone is welcome to the meeting. Please bring your friends and neighbors to hear Bob’s wonderful commentary on the Motor Parkway.
An advocate for the Motor Parkway for over 30 years, Robert was described in the New York Times in 2002 as a "champion of the parkway.Through slide shows and walking tours, he has campaigned relentlessly to prove the parkway's historical importance."
