Presentation: “Chrysler’s Chrysler: History, Discovery and Restoration, Stony Brook, NY

The saga of "Chrysler's Chrysler" will be highlighted on Sunday, August 2, 2015 at the Long Island Museum in Stony Brook at 2:00 pm. Weather permitting, Chrysler's Chrysler will make an appearance.

Howard Kroplick, the Town Historian of North Hempstead, will present the history of this "one of one" 1937 Chrysler Imperial C-15 Town Car that was custom built by LeBaron for Walter P. Chrysler as a gift for his wife Della.

Rare photos documenting the 78-year history of this car will be shown including images and films taken at the LeBaron factory, the Long Island Automotive Museum, the Suffolk County Vanderbilt Museum and the 2014 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, where it won “First in Class”.

We hope you will be able to join us for this special evening.
