The 1962 “Car Auction of the Century” at the Farnesworth Garage
Continuing yesterday's story of the "Farnesworth" garage, around 1924, the estate was purchased by a Standard Oil heir Wallis Clinton Bird and his wife Marjorie Winifred Kendall. Wallis kept a spectacular collection of cars in the garage.
