Video “An Evening with Marty Himes”

At the October 17, 2013 meeting of the Long Island Motor Parkway Preservation Society, stock car driver, museum owner and auto racing historian Marty Himes rode back in time and told stories of racing at the Freeport, Deer Park, and Islip Speedways. This 34-minute video provides highlights of the evening.

Watch for a special presentation to Marty at the 31:00 mark.

Enjoyed that video. Now I’ll be going back to the museum again to see what I missed last time and I’m sure he’ll have something new to show us, knowing him. he always finds something to do with racing

Roy: Yours is a unique location and rare occurrence! I’m envisioning a concrete roadway in your backyard. What else is on your property?
