“The Black Beast” Visits the Vanderbilt Museum
Yesterday I brought "The Black Beast" to my favorite museum, the Suffolk County Vanderbilt Museum. It is likely the first Vanderbilt Cup racer to visit William K. Vanderbilt, Jr's home...with the possible exception of "Old 16" Locomobile when it was owned by Peter Helck.
At the museum, I met with Noel Gish, the new President of the Board of Trustees, and Stephanie Gress, Director of Curatorial Affairs, to discuss possible future programs with the Alco-6 Racer.

A great photograph, timeless beauty for both home and car.

I love that photo, too. Looks like something out of a brochure.

Thanks for coming and sharing the car with the visitors at the Vanderbilt that day.Mark Dill is right your picture does look like a brochure. I hope the Vanderbilt museum and the ALCO with Howard and John can become regular visitors to the courtyard of Willy K.——it was a treat
Thanks again
