The Vanderbilt Cup Cigars

Riding the popularity of the Vanderbilt Cup Races, the Kiessling Cigar Company introduced its "Vanderbilt Cup" brand of cigars during the heyday of the Long Island races.

This cigar company was founded by George J. Kiessling in 1905 and operated  in Chicago at least through 1908. The Kiessling cigars were sold at cigar stands in the Lexington and Metropole Hotels.

Gary Hammond has forwarded the box label for the "Vanderbilt Cup" brand.
