Update #1: The 12 Tuckers at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance

The past several days at Pebble Beach have been a memorable, unforgettable experience.  For the first time ever, Tuckers were selected for the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance including the Tucker 1044.

I am proud to report that Tucker 1044 was awarded second place in class, only behind George Lucas' Tucker 1009. It was definitely "Car Wars" as the margin in judging points between these two automobiles reportedly may have been the smallest in Pebble Beach history.  Mary and Ted Stah's Andante Green Tucker 1015 was awarded third in class.

Congrats to the wonderful Ida/Tucker Tucker 1044 Team for this amazing accomplishment for this eight-month restoration.

Over 300 images and videos were taken over the last week and will be featured in future posts. Below are images and program descriptions of the 12 Pebble Beach Tuckers and the 1946 Tucker Test Chassis #2.

Congratulations Howard on your second place win, but why not the first because you are not George Lucas? You do have a working cyclops headlight how about that, and why the switch to the black wall side of the tires, for the authentic factory production look ?? Hope to see you with your award winner someday.

Mark, for the Tour, Tucker 1044 had its formal whitewalls.  For the Sunday Concours, Tucker 1044 was brought back to its original factory blackwalls design.

Congratulations Howard! I’m sure you’re proud of the team that restored it in a short period of time. I can’t wait to see it back here in Long Island. Well done!

Absolutely awesome showing.  I can’t imagine how proud you are of your car and it’s impressive and accurate restoration.  You made a lot of Tucker fans happy with your handling of 1044.  Thank You.

I already sent kudos but, at least on my browser, something went haywire between 1044 and 1049.  I get HTML coding, apparently for a Rob Ida video.  Sam, III
