Film “The Long Island Vanderbilt Cup Races (1904-1937)”
As noted below, I will be presenting three lectures this month on the Vanderbilt Cup Races and the Long Island Motor Parkway. In preparation for my presentation at the "Racing on Long Island: Horses to Horsepower" conference, I have prepared this 10-minute compilation of small films and newsclips.
The film features two William K. Vanderbilt, Jr. Cup Races (1904 and 1906) and the two George Vanderbilt Cup Races (1936 and 1937).
