“The Long Island Motor Parkway” & “Vanderbilt Cup Races of Long Island” Sell Out


Arcadia Publishing has announced that the initial edition of "The Long Island Motor Parkway" and the second edition of "Vanderbilt Cup Races of Long Island " have sold out. Supplies of the books should be available by early May. All author royalties from the books are being contributed to CAPS (Child Abuse Prevention Services of Long Island).

Ebay Alert: A Locomobile Vanderbilt Cup Radiator Mascot is currently being auctioned. The item had a reserve of $2,000. With two days to go, the highest offer from four bidders is $2,200. You can expect this price to rise from $500 to $1,000 in the last 15 seconds of the auction due to automatic sniping programs.



 

March 29, 2010 Update: The Locomobile Vanderbilt Cup Radiator Mascot sold for a record $4,652 last night on Ebay. Nine bidders competed in the auction with the price increasing $1,100 in the last 10 seconds.

I just received my copy of Long Island Motor Parkway in the mail yesterday.  Was it my purchase that put the book in the “sold out” category?  😊

That means my copy is even more valuable than the rest!  😊
