Kleiner’s Korner: Art’s Motor Parkway Site back on line!

My original website dedicated to The Motor Parkrway came on line in the spring of 2004 - twenty years ago!  After numerous changes to its host site it is now back on line and easy to find.

The site has not been updated in quite a while (and probably won't be going forward) but still provides a summarized base line of information about our favorite roadway.  It in no way takes the place of other Motor Parkway sites (i.e., vanderbiltcupraces.com) as it was my early attempt to share my findings, explorations and knowledge as I developed a keen interest in learning more about this aspect of Long Island's history.  I hope you'll visit the site and would appreciate any comments and suggestions.

Note: there are links to my website on vanderbiltcupraces.com that are no longer active; I'm working on updating these.  Also some pages from my original website may have been deleted, not sure where they've gone.   And remember to hover on each section item on the cover page as there may be multiple pages underneath.

Home Page

Along with various pages depicting aspects of The Motor Parkway, I have pages for the sections of the parkway in which I've explored.

Documenting our exploration to the Dix Hills remains of the parkway.

One page is devoted to newspaper photos of the parkway.

A page of postcards.

A page devoted to the Maxess Road bridge in Melville.

Advertising on the "Odds & Ends" page showing the parkway.

A favorite advertising card of mine, maybe because I lived so close to the location.

Maps of the parkway.

What shalll become of the parkway?

A location near and dear to me.

I hope you'll visit the site and would appreciate any comments and suggestions.
