More Highlights from the 2012 Indy 500 Race Week


This year's 2012 Indy 500 Race week was amazing... wonderful crowds and great fun! Here are more Alco Black Beast highlights.

The Alco Black Beast and vintage racers on display on Community Day.

Rookie driver Josef Newgarden and Mark Dill, Vice-President of Marketing of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, enjoying the Black Beast. Twenty-One year old Newgarden finished 25th in the 2012 Indy 500.

Heading to the track for 4 laps on Thursday.

Racers on the track attained speeds over 150 miles per hour. The top speed for the Black Beast was 70 mph.

Master mechanic Sam Greco did a solo lap in the Alco Black Beast.

Howard, you are a man who truly enjoys his cars, and by driving/using them lets everyone else experience the thrill of the machine as well. WIthoubt doubt an old car is best viewed when in motion!
