Vanderbilt Cup Races

Dr. Mark D. has emailed me the following request:

I am looking for views of the LIMP bridge over Stewart Avenue in Bethpage, the outer bank is still standing with roadway. I rode my bike on that section as a kid.

Mark, Stewart Avenue in this section of Nassau County was previously known as Hilton Avenue and Jerusalem Road (often confused with Jerusalem Avenue). It was here that the ground-breaking ceremonies for the Motor Parkway were held on June 6, 1908. Click here for a pdf of images related to this bridge.
