Long Island Motor Parkway Suffolk County Mystery Photo
Can anyone identify the location of this 1914 photo showing a car near the Long Island Motor Parkway?
The car is adjacent to a sign that apparently reads " To Parkway Inn, Lake Ronkonkoma via the Motor Parkway". A smaller sign on the post indicates the direction to a company or store with the logo "AB".If you can provide conclusive information on the location or the AB logo, you will receive a complimentary signed copy of the new Arcadia book "The Long Island Motor Parkway".

I’ve seen a picture with a sign like that and a smaller sign under it in another picture that was taken at a different angle further away which was at Wicks Road in Suffolk County dated about 1917 to 1920.
Great new book. See you at the book signing.

Joseph

Hi Howard, I don’t know the location, but the car in the photo is a 1912 Hupmobile “20” roadster.
